Youth Advisory Committee

Young people play an integral role in building a strong recovery advocacy movement.

The Youth Advisory Committees are led by young people who are either in recovery themselves, love someone in recovery, have lost someone to overdose, or are practicing harm reduction in their own lives. We currently have Advisory Committees in Kennebec, Washington, and Penobscot County, Maine. Each of the teams are a little different because what each community needs is different. The thread that binds these groups together is they are led by the voices of the youth, who have plenty to say and know more than many adults realize.
