Mobilize Recovery is proud to welcome Darren Waller—NFL star, recovery advocate, and founder of the Darren Waller Foundation—as a co-chair for our Campus Surge 2025 campaign.
He’ll be joining forces with fellow co-chairs Jelly Roll and Melissa Etheridge to amplify the message that recovery is possible—and worth fighting for.
Darren knows firsthand what it means to face addiction and rebuild your life. After a year-long suspension from the NFL and a near-fatal overdose, he got the help he needed and has maintained his sobriety since 2017.
“The stigma around addiction keeps so many people suffering in silence. I want people to know there’s no shame in asking for help.”
— Darren Waller, NFL Star & Campus Surge Co-Chair
Through his foundation, Darren has reached thousands of young people with a message of hope, resilience, and service. Now, he’s helping bring that message to college campuses across the country—empowering students to organize for recovery and support one another.
Join Darren, Jelly Roll, and Melissa Etheridge in championing the vital truth that hope, healing, and recovery are achievable for everyone.
