Now in its third year, Mobilize Recovery’s Day of Service has grown into a powerful national tradition that turns recovery into action and compassion into change.

Day of Service 2025 was our biggest yet, with 781 local events held across 47 states. From coast to coast, volunteers, organizers, and recovery advocates came together to give back to their communities in meaningful ways.

781 Day of Service events took place across 47 states.

From naloxone distribution and overdose prevention events to community clean-ups, recovery celebrations, fun runs, clothing drives, shared meals, and more — each event reflected a shared belief in the power of service and connection.

"It brought together members of the community from all walks of life [... ] Everyone was able to enjoy the common language of music and food and celebrate together."

— Kyle P., Event Organizer in Vancouver, WA

Across the country, people in recovery and their allies showed what is possible when we act collectively. Together, we saved lives, strengthened communities, and helped change the narrative around addiction and recovery.

"This event was special to me because it gave us a chance to impact a community not directly related to recovery for substance use. Not only that, but the members were able to get out of themselves and feel the difference they were making in the lives of children. The reaction the school board staff had to when we pulled up with all of these donations was precious. We will be doing this annually."

— Travis B., Event Organizer in Johnson City, Tennessee
