LAS VEGAS, NV – Mobilize Recovery, a national organization dedicated to expanding recovery solutions, today announced Emergent BioSolutions, the maker of over-the-counter (OTC) NARCAN® Nasal Spray, to sponsor the 2025 Campus Surge initiative. This collaboration will bring overdose education and lifesaving resources to college campuses nationwide at the start of the academic year.
Campus Surge is an innovative, action-driven campaign designed to engage young people through in-person trainings, influencer-led events, and national media partnerships with iHeart Media, Meta, and Google. The initiative aims to educate students on overdose response, distribute free intranasal naloxone and other resources, and empower young leaders to drive change in their communities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Emergent BioSolutions as an important sponsor and partner for Campus Surge 2025,” said Ryan Hampton, Mobilize Recovery Co-Founder and Executive Director. “Their commitment to saving lives and empowering communities with life-saving tools aligns perfectly with our mission. This partnership will significantly amplify our ability to get naloxone into the hands of students and equip them with the knowledge to respond in an emergency. Together, we will make a measurable impact and build a healthier, more prepared future for young adults across the country.”
"Emergent is proud to sponsor Mobilize Recovery’s Campus Surge 2025 initiative," said Paul Williams, senior vice president, head of products business, global government & public affairs at Emergent. "This program provides critical education and resources to young adults, and supplemented with Emergent’s public awareness campaign, Ready to Rescue, offers additional tools needed to reduce overdose deaths. We believe this work is tremendously important and we are excited to work alongside Mobilize Recovery to make a difference."
Ready to Rescue is an awareness campaign aimed at educating the public on potential opioid risks, the signs of an opioid overdose and how everyone can be prepared to act in an opioid emergency with OTC NARCAN® Nasal Spray. The campaign is focused on combating misinformation surrounding opioid emergencies and encouraging the public, particularly young adults in college, to carry naloxone because opioid emergencies can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Emergent will continue to increase awareness and expand access to multiple forms of naloxone, to help ensure that every state, business, university and household is prepared to save a life.
The Campus Surge 2025 tour kicks off on August 31st. For more information, including a full tour schedule, please visit www.mobilizerecovery.org/campus_surge_2025.
