May FAC Community Discussion + Learning

We will have the amazing Susan Ousterman join us to educate us on an alternative treatment pathway for OUD: ibogaine. She will be going over the following topics with plenty of time for Q&A:

  • What is ibogaine?
  • Why we don’t have access?
  • Why should we have access?
  • Overview of her plan to advocate for opioid settlement funds to develop it

If you are curious about ibogaine, this is the discussion for you! And if you have never heard of it, come learn more about it!

Once you RSVP, you will receive the Zoom link for the meeting!

Here's more about Susan:

Susan Ousterman is the Executive Director of the Vilomah Foundation. Initially founded to create memorial gardens to honor the lives lost to substance-related deaths, it has mostly focused on improving outcomes for people who use drugs. Susan also serves on the board of Never Use Alone, and is the Substance Use and Harm Reduction Ambassador for Reason for Hope. She is a drug policy reform advocate who believes the mental health crisis is a result of disconnection from self, each other, and the Earth. And that the increase in premature deaths is a call to action for parents to use their fierce unconditional love to transform our toxic culture into a more connected and compassionate society.
