Join us at Margaret T. Hance Park on Sunday, September 22nd at 9am for a town hall in partnership with Shatterproof to discuss and learn more about opportunities to address stigma with opioid settlement funds!
As billions of dollars flow to state and local governments from settlement agreements with opioid manufacturers, distributors, etc., jurisdictions have a unique opportunity to address complicated, longstanding barriers to recovery, including addiction stigma. Arizona is set to receive $1.14 billion in opioid settlement funds over 18 years.
During this event, we’ll hear from elected leaders and others about how they’re approaching spending opioid settlement funds, the unique challenges facing Arizonans in recovery and those struggling with substance use disorder, and how opioid settlement funds can address these challenges, including addressing addiction stigma.
Special guests and speakers include Arizona Attorney General Mayes, Pinal County Attorney Kent Volkmer, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and the Phoenix City Council.
**Please RSVP below to help our local organizers appropriately prepare for the event**
This event is organized locally in partnership with Shatterproof.
