Protecting Health Insurance Parity for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders

RSVP ON THIS PAGE TO RECEIVE ZOOM LINK AND ATTEND
The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act is a critical civil rights law that protects individuals from discrimination in their health insurance plans by requiring comparable coverage of substance use disorder and mental health benefits as other types of care. This workshop will provide an overview of the law and regulations, as well as threats to these requirements. We will identify key provisions state advocates can advance with their policymakers to ensure all individuals have access to the substance use disorder and mental health care they need.
