It’s also not too late to host your own Day of Service event!
A Day of Service can be as small or large as you want. Even organizing something simple like a recovery-oriented community walk, a neighborhood or park cleanup, or volunteering at a local animal shelter can make a world of difference. We encourage you to think outside the box and come up with something that you will enjoy and that will benefit others in your area.

Overdose Awareness Day is Sunday, August 31
On International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those we’ve lost, stand with the people who love them, and commit to action to save lives. Look for vigils, community gatherings, and opportunities to advocate in your area.

September is National Recovery Month
National Recovery Month is the perfect time to take part in one (or more!) of the powerful events and actions happening in the weeks ahead. Join a Campus Surge event, volunteer for the Day of Service, stand with us on Overdose Awareness Day, or celebrate in your own way.
However you show up, you’ll be part of a nationwide movement to celebrate recovery, save lives, and strengthen our communities.
This is your moment to connect, and help build a movement that changes lives. Together, we can make these next few weeks a turning point for our communities.
