
About This Event
Mobilize Recovery is kicking off the Campus Surge 2025 initiative in Charleston, West Virginia! With support from the Drug Intervention Institute and ONEbox, the event will be held at the University of Charleston in West Virginia as part of a nationwide effort to address the challenges of substance use and mental health among college students. This event aims to raise awareness, provide resources, and empower students to become advocates for recovery within their communities.
What To Expect:
- West Virginia Overdose Awareness Day: The event will be held in conjunction with Overdose Awareness Day activities.
- Concert with American Idol winner Noah Thompson!
- Educational Workshops: Interactive sessions on addiction, recovery, and mental health led by experts and advocates.
- Empowerment Training: Leadership and advocacy training designed to equip students and community members with tools to effect change.
- Community Engagement: Interactive exhibits (like the Healthy and Creative Brain) to foster community connection and dialogue.
- Life-Saving Resources: Distribution of overdose reversal agents, ONEbox, fentanyl & xylazine test strips to reduce fatalities.
