Drug-induced homicide (DIH) refers to the practice of prosecutors bringing homicide charges against individuals who supply drugs that result in an overdose death.

This presentation will provide background on drug-induced homicide laws that have been introduced in many states across the country.  The workshop will focus on the  legislative landscape surrounding the laws, and the research on their impact. It will also discuss the need for a public health approach, as well as resources available for advocates and families and opportunities for action.
