Join us for a first look at Operation Understanding 2026, a national initiative marking the 50th anniversary of a pivotal moment in recovery advocacy—and reimagining it for today.

In 1976, Operation Understanding helped shift public perception of addiction by bringing recovery stories into the national spotlight. Now, 50 years later, we’re building on that legacy with a new, community-driven movement focused on reducing stigma and expanding access to recovery through events, education, and storytelling.

This 30-minute kickoff call is your opportunity to get an early look at what’s coming, and how you can be part of it.

On the call, we’ll cover:

  • An overview of Operation Understanding 2026
  • A preview of the new website and tools
  • Upcoming summer organizing workshops
  • How your events can be featured and amplified
  • Simple next steps to get involved

Whether you’ve organized an event before or are just getting started, this is a great place to plug in. RSVP to receive the Zoom link and save your spot.
