About This Event

Mobilize Recovery is bringing the Campus Surge 2025 initiative to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as part of a nationwide effort to address the challenges of substance use and mental health among college students.

This event that will be held in the Student Union (Ballroom A), aims to raise awareness, provide resources, and empower students to become advocates for recovery within their communities.​

What To Expect

  • Leadership and advocacy workshops designed to equip students with the tools to effect change. A great opportunity to connect with UNLV student organizations, including REVIVE and Narcare.

  • Learn about the developing CRP at UNLV—offering holistic support for students in recovery through education, outreach, peer connection, and clinical services via Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).

  • An open conversation addressing key issues most impacting students on campus today.

  • Hear inspiring stories from individuals in recovery—including students, young adults, and Olympian Carrie Bates—as we celebrate National Recovery Month.

  • Free distribution of Narcan and fentanyl test strips to reduce the risk of overdose and save lives.

  • Local organizations, including Shine a Light Foundation and Foundation for Recovery, will honor individuals and programs that make a lasting difference in the recovery community. These awards highlight innovation, resilience, and the power of connection and hope.

  • Complimentary food provided to participants. Space is limited—arrive early!
